Human Resource Management OR HRM = Humans Really Matter

This is my reoccurring thought as I think about the work of human resource management. So much talk surrounds the notion of ‘good’ HR: how to be ‘strategic’, how to create ‘value added work’, how to ‘be a partner’ to the business. What it all comes down to is that Humans Really Matter. Yes, providing benefits is costly, yes, employees bring their ‘baggage’ to work but without them no work gets done and things stand still. Humans, and all their stuff, all matters. #humansreallymatter
